Yoga is Yoga.
84 stunning traditional body postures (from which there are thousands of variations) and a vast range of breathing, meditation and relaxation techniques designed to provide the human body with a complete program for maintaining the body at full health.
There are around 52 different styles of yoga being taught in the UK currently.
The differences between the styles is what aspect of Yoga they focus on.
Some styles focus very much on flexibility, others focus on on stamina and strength. Some styles even focus on just a few postures and omit 75% of the asanas available. Each style of yoga is designed to achieve a different response within the body.
Dru Yoga aims to achieve optimum spinal health. Each asana is taught with an awareness of the spine.
If your spine is free and healthy, your whole body, supplied by the nerves that exit through the spine, will be at optimum health.
Dru Yoga is a very traditional style of yoga, consisting of the very traditional asanas (postures), breathing techniques, relaxation and meditation techniques.
The second and more unique side to Dru Yoga is the practice of asanas as flowing sequences, a little like Tai Chi. Dru Yoga focuses on the therapeutic benefits offered by Yoga, aiming to free energy blocks within the body (through our unique ‘ Energy Block Release’ sequences) that may be there due to physical and emotional traumas received by the body.
The end result? You should feel energised, enthusiastic, relaxed, confident and generally able to manage the stresses and strains of modern day living better.

Half way through your training you will be able to take an interim assessment. This will enable you to be insured to teach a limited syllabus yoga class structure to the public. This will enable you to start earning. On the Manchester course you can start teaching after 8 months.
Absolutely. About 50% of our students start the course not wanting to teach.
